Due to the recent outbreak of Covid-19 and the resulting pandemic we feel here at Kinkie that we should post a set of guidelines on how to buy and sell used Worn underwear and accessories safely in these unprecedented times.
Here at Kinkie, we have taken several measures to reassure our buyers that every step is being made to make sure. First, if any of our sellers are feeling at all unwell, they should un-list all items for a minimum of two weeks and notify buyers that they already have communications/orders with. Second, we have strengthened our pre-existing checks to ensure that all new listings posted to Kinkie are safe for our buyers. Lastly, we advise our sellers to take extra precautions when packaging and posting their items as an added safety measure.
Currently, official advice from the NHS for the public regarding COVID-19 is as follows:
Stay at home if you have either:
Health experts have advised the public to take precautions such as washing your hands thoroughly with soap and water, cover your mouth and nose with a tissue while coughing or sneezing, and bin used tissues immediately. Avoiding close contact with those who are unwell is advised, as is avoiding touching your eyes, nose and mouth unless your hands are clean.
The UK government has also advised people to practice social distancing and has ordered many public places such as pubs and restaurants to close in order to combat the spread of the virus.
As a seller, you are responsible for the condition and packaging of your item and, as always, customers will want absolute 100% assurance that there is no risk involved with buying used items online. If you or someone who lives with you are showing symptoms of the coronavirus, then we would strongly recommend that you cease selling your used items online for a minimum of 1 week to ensure that there is no risk to your buyers.
As cases of COVID-19 are still relatively rare, we can reassure our customers that it is still safe to buy used items online, provided that the seller has given their assurance that they are free of any symptoms of cold or flu. Other online retailers like Amazon are increasing their staff to account for the rise in online shopping caused by people self-isolating, increasing risk to everyone involved with their whole production line, whereas every seller on Kinkie is a one-woman band. No third party is ever involved with the handling or packaging of any items from our buyers so you can rest assured that all measures are being taken to eliminate as much risk as possible.
