I never thought I would be in a position where I had to ask for help, but today I’m putting my pride aside in the hope that someone might understand what this means to me.
I live with a significant breast asymmetry. One breast is a 32C and the other is a 32EE. This isn’t just something I notice in the mirror—it affects every part of my life. I hide behind oversized, baggy tops because I’m so embarra**ed by how uneven my body is. I avoid wearing clothes I love, feel anxious about going out, and my confidence has been worn away over the years. More than anything, I just want to know what it feels like to leave the house without feeling ashamed or trying to hide myself.
The surgery I need costs £13,995, which is far beyond what I can afford. I’m a student, and alongside my studies I work two university jobs to support myself, but even working as hard as I can, this amount is simply out of reach.
You may notice that I haven’t added a photo to this fundraiser. That isn’t because I don’t want to be open—it’s because I feel so ashamed and self-conscious about my body that I simply can’t bring myself to share one. I hope you can understand how difficult this has been for me.
I’m asking, from the bottom of my heart, if you could help me get one step closer to this life-changing operation. Even £1 would make a difference. If you aren’t able to donate, sharing my fundraiser with others would mean just as much.
Your kindness could give me something I’ve dreamed of for years—the confidence to wear clothes I love, to leave the house without hiding, and to finally feel comfortable in my own body.
