Black Nike Trainers...

Simply put, these trainers have been used...

The black mesh has given way at the top of one shoe, torn open where pressure was applied again and again. Not a flaw hidden away, but a visible breach - the material thinned, then failed, exactly where the foot insists on flexing. Skin shows through. The boundary between shoe and body breaks down.

They’re dirty. Openly so. The soles are ground-in with grit and discoloration, the result of repeated contact with pavement, floors, streets. This isn’t neglect — it’s acc*mulation. Evidence of distance covered, weight carried, friction accepted without care for appearances.

The foot sits fully into them, heel settled, arch relaxed, ankle angled with familiarity. These shoes know the body they hold. The interior has softened and collapsed where it needed to, shaped by pressure and heat until resistance wore out.

There’s something exposed about it. A reminder that durability has limits, and that persistence leaves marks. Everything and everyone has their breaking point…
